Technology

Advanced composite shell technology

At the core of every CES combat helmet is a seamless UHMWPE composite shell. UHMWPE delivers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, allowing us to maximise ballistic and fragmentation protection while keeping the helmet light enough to wear through extended operations.

The shell is engineered as a single, seamless structure for consistent protection across the entire head — eliminating the weak points associated with multi-piece construction. The result is a helmet that resists penetration and manages impact energy to reduce the risk of blunt-force trauma behind the shell.

Ballistic protection and standards

CES helmets are designed and tested to recognised international standards. Ballistic protection is delivered according to STANAG 2920 17gr FSP, with performance up to >1,000 m/s achievable through the integration of additional plates for elevated threat profiles.

The improved ACH-style geometry not only enhances field of vision and situational awareness but also supports the consistent placement of protective coverage where operators need it most. MICH-shape helmets are also available, allowing forces to standardise on the profile that best suits their existing kit and integration requirements.
